Slacking slacking slacking
March 7, 2014
So obviously I've been slacking with these blog posts. I mean it's been almost 2 fucking months since I wrote one. Which is inexcusable. I look at the damned computer everyday and yet I apparently couldn't find time to write a blog post? WTF. So this post will be my way of flogging myself in the public domain for being an idiot (yay internet! Less scarring than actually flogging myself too. Besides, this is my website and I've promised to be as transparent with you guys as possible so here ya go). I could totally provide a whole huge list of excuses but that's all they'd be: hollow excuses. While I've certainly been keeping busy, I should've checked in at least 4 or 5 times since my last post. Let's review what's happened in the last 6 weeks: the Super Bowl, the Golden Globes, the Olympics (yes the freaking Olympics - which now happen every 2 years - came and went and I wrote nothing), the Oscars (way to miss out on those, jackass), some very unfortunate celebrity deaths (a couple of my favorite actors, too), I've been regularly taking kickboxing classes (shout out to my ILKB family), I've worked on that big aforementioned nameless project I keep referencing, I've had some good auditions, some bad auditions, and I've met with some industry folk too.
Which is all a very long way of saying I'm sorry for not writing more often. It's also my public declaration of intent to make sure that I don't go another 6 weeks without writing one of these. In fact, I will probably even re-visit some of the above topics because I definitely had thoughts on them that I should've written while they were still fresh in my mind. I just have to keep reminding myself to sit down and write. All the posts don't have to be perfect. They can be short and sweet and not all that life altering and still be worthy of going up here. Only way I can get better at something is by doing it, right?
So expect more very soon. Like VERY soon. Like as soon as I finish writing this one I'm posting something kind of stupid but I'm still counting it.
